Stoke Ground Top Bed
Top Bed is a finely grained limestone with a pale cream / buff colour which mellows with age to a honey colour.
It is suitable for all carving, ashlar walling and fireplaces.
Top Bed Bath Stone is extensively used in restoration work and new builds throughout the UK. It possesses an unusually high bed height of up to 1600mm and is therefore attractive to masons and carvers.,

Stoke Ground Base Bed
Base Bed is a light buff / grey slightly open grained limestone, with small intermittent shell deposits. Suitable for all flooring, fireplaces, ashlar walling, exposed and weathering areas: cornices, copying, string courses.
Extensively used in restoration and new build throughout the UK. Bed Heights of 800mm.
