After our recent investment in plant Stanley's now have one of the most technonlogically advanced facilities availiable for oolitic limestone production in the Cotswolds.
These saws shown are the tools that we use to produce our sawn six sided stone products.
First shown is our Mono Saw which we use to cut the raw block from the quarry. The slabs of two sided sawn stone that are produced on this saw are referred to as scants. We also use this saw to perform secondary sawing on larger stones.
The second picture shown is our Spielvogel saw which has a 1100mm blade. This allows us to cut any dimension up to 500mm
Third is our profiling saw which we use to cut down the limestone scants. This is where the stone gets sawn six sided. The Profiler can be programmed to follow a set line and thus automatically carve the stone to complex curves. All saws are housed in their own specific production units, enabling ease and continuity of production of stone throughout the Stanley's Quarry Operation. |
