Our limestone flooring tiles for internal use are produced in our on site processing unit at Westington Hill. Information on how these are produced and a detailed explanation of the production process can be found on the Saws & Machinery  page of this site.

We usually produce our stock limestone flooring in set widths of 500mm, 425mm and 350mm in random lengths. The floor is laid in parallel courses with staggered perpendicular joints.

Stanleys Quarry can also manufacture square stone tiles or regular rectangles as long as one dimension is below 500mm and both dimensions are larger than 300mm.

Here is an example of our natural limestone flooring which was used in a local restaurant. The design brief from our client was to source a product which was hardwearing enough to take light commercial traffic. The slabs were laid randomly with no continuous joints. KH Floor.jpg (89617 bytes)

****We currently have a number of surplus limestone stock tiles quantities in various sizes at Westington Hill, please contact us for further details, on sizes price and availability. These products include Portland, Cadeby, Salterwath, and Ancaster stones.****

Once a limestone floor is laid it is vital that the stone is sealed. Limestone is naturally porous and any liquids spilt onto it in its raw state will soak in leaving an immovable stain. We recommend RR Stone Seal for this application.
