We supply coursed Building Stone in four heights of 65mm, 90mm, 115mm and 140mm. The stone is delivered on shrink wrapped pallets of 6 square metres of a single height. This allows for easy site handling. Generally, we would supply a set proportion of each size so that the final wall does not look too heavy with any particular size. The stone is nominally 110mm on bed but wider stone can be specified up to 300mm. Each block is random length within a range of 200mm to 450mm long. At no additional cost we can "Rumble" the Building Stone to round off the corners to achieve a more rustic appearance. Our Saws & Equipment page details how the stone is produced.
Guiting stone is used to great effect in this recent development. The traditional Ashlar Plinth, Quoins and Window Surrounds display the stone at its best. The rich variety of colours within one bed type are clearly shown here.
Here we see our Bed 3 used in a prestigious development of 5 houses.
This development in a local town used two colours of stone to add interest to the look of the development. The darker or more golden stone is our Bed 3/4 and the paler stone is our Bed 1
One of three homes built using our Bed 1. We supplied all of the building stone and the quoins, heads, cills, mullions, coping, and chimneys.
